Transforming our Pain into Purpose

We lost our 15-year-old son, Owen, to suicide on April 29th, 2023. Owen was popular, never bullied, good looking, fun loving, athletic and came from a stable home where he was loved and supported. We say this to help you understand that if Owen could fall victim to suicide, then all our kids are at risk. To transform our pain into purpose, we’ve started the Rain Will Bring Flowers Foundation focused on Youth Mental Wellness.

PREVENTION IN EVERY PARISH

Rain Will Bring Flowers Foundation and AFSP Louisiana are offering AFSP’s It’s Real: Teens and Mental Health to middle and high school students statewide, along with Talk Saves Lives, a program teaching the public about suicide, risk factors, warning signs, and helping others.

PLANTING SEEDS OF HOPE

Rain Will Bring Flowers, in partnership with LSU Athletics, The Joe Burrow Foundation, Our Lady of the Lake Health, and the LCLUB, hosted Planting Seeds of Hope at the PMAC featuring LSU and NFL great, Super Bowl champion, and ESPN commentator Ryan Clark.
